This clan was founded on January 8, 2008 by Gordan Freemon, Zebra105s, Bus_Driver, Mindsweeper, and Stanby. We left our previous clan, The Cybran Federation based upon our differences of opinions with the leader Indiana01. Gordan_Freemon had a vision about what a clan should be, and approached Zebra105s and Bus_Driver, to join his clan and to help him guide his vision into fruition. We discussed it and decided to make a go of it.

When the clan was founded, we wanted to base its general framework into a closely knit cohesive friendship based community with "Respect", "Freedom" and "Reputation" being the general philosophy of what this clan stands for. We started to play, and win, and our eyes were always on the lookout for people who not only possessed skill, but also had the right attitude and personality with a strong desire to become better players. As we grew, so did our talent, and through the recruitment process, we have watched this clan take off exponentially in the GPG community and overall clan rankings. We often sat back in our chairs in true amazement reflecting on where we started and what we were evolving into.
The Last Exile is currently the top ranked clan in the world where we hold the #1 spot in the GPG clan ranking. It is a true honor to be the top clan in the world, but not the most important aspect. We knew all along that the Last Exile was the best clan ever well before we obtained our #1 position. The success of this clan is the result of each and every member who make this clan what it is and what it stands for. What is most rewarding is to see Gordan_Freemon's vision become a reality, and to know that the founding principles of this clan have been successful.
