The fixes that came in the patch 10 years after, like the one mentioned below was not an exploit or needed that a company would be forced to do anything about it. But as said its relative, i would never claim blizz or sc1 for that matter to be perfect, that doesn't change that they do good on commitment when supporting it so long after. "Don't expect anything once you payed" does not hold up then against blizz record.

The point is NO game is perfect. "Need" is relative here. There will always be room for some fixes and tweaking, would most companies bother to still keep at it 10 years after ? There's no way to turn that around as something negative and blame it on the game instead of good follow up from blizz. Like making it like the game was so "terrible" that it "needed" it 10 years after. It didn't need it in regards to how things is normally done. But blizz did it anyway.

What did they patch after those 10 years and why did they patch it then? Those are very important questions.
It's ok if they did it to add new content or functionalities. It's really bad if they did it to fix some crazy old bug or imbalance.

t know what your talking about here. Its a good thing, maybe not for all games but for this. It wasn't the first time, this is an e-sport game deluxe after all. Just shows great follow up from Blizz, and true dedication while continuing tweaking for perfection,even removing the need for cd i think it was 9 years after...

Dan, if a 10 year old game still needs patching its not a good thing. They had plenty of time to do so years earlier. And Activision-Blizzard was formed mid 2008.
